About us

Here to help you feel supported and understood.

The Recovery Hub is a welcoming place where people come together to learn, share, and grow. It brings together those with lived experience of mental health challenges, professionals, and volunteers from the community.

At the Recovery Hub, we offer courses that are created and delivered jointly, so everyone learns side by side and on equal terms. We are not a replacement for formal therapy or mainstream education. Instead, we provide a safe and inclusive space where people can explore recovery, build confidence, and develop skills and strategies to live the life they want.

Activities and groups

Our courses are created and delivered by people with lived experience of mental health challenges alongside professionals and volunteers.

Safe space

We want Recovery Hub to be open to anyone, no matter where they are on their recovery journey. By learning together, we break down barriers and challenge stereotypes.

Support from others

We work closely with local organisations and services across Jersey to make sure recovery is supported not just in health settings, but in everyday community life.

Help with life stuff

We encourage people to take steps forward, whether that means completing courses, achieving personal goals, or exploring new opportunities beyond services.

The Story Behind Our Logo

Shaped and designed by those in recovery, it stands as a symbol of hope to others just beginning their journey. The Recovery Hub logo reflects healing, resilience and hope. It was co-produced through creative art sessions with people under the mental health service. Guided and empowered by a Peer Support Worker and Community Staff Nurse.

Clients explored “What does recovery mean for you?” through self-expression of themes around support, nature, growth and empathy. There were connections throughout the group reflecting colours of calming greens and blue-greens. They shaped a design that speaks to the essence of what recovery means.

Meet the Team

Our team is made up of compassionate professionals with real experience in recovery. We’re here to support, guide, and walk alongside you with understanding and respect.

Recovery Hub Coordinator

I’ve been involved in peer support for over 10 years and I’m still really passionate about the power of lived experience. Mental health and recovery are important to me because of what I’ve lived through myself, not just what I’ve learned along the way.

I use my own experiences to support others by listening, sharing what’s helped me, and helping people find support and feel understood. I aim to work in an open and honest way, alongside people rather than telling them what they should do. I’m also keen to help build a stronger recovery community in Jersey by bringing people together and supporting them to find meaning and purpose in their lives.

I don't always find group settings easy, but I've come to value the connection and learning that can come from them. I’m motivated by curiosity, compassion, and helping people explore what brings them meaning and confidence.

I use creativity as an uplifting tool to empower others to rediscover themselves through hope, curiosity, connection, and growth. My own recovery journey continues to be shaped by creative practices that guide me, ground me, and transform my frame of mind and perspective. It keeps me connected to my inner world and the world around me by seeing all my experiences in a new light.

Through art and self-expression, I support people in mapping out their recovery journey and building a meaningful life. This process is rooted in self-discovery, reconnection, and personal growth, encouraging individuals to take control and evolve into new versions of themselves. I create meaningful activities within the Rehab Pathway and the Recovery Hub, shaping inclusive spaces where healing, transformation, and meaningful connection can flourish. In my personal time, I enjoy installation art and exploring ancient history and cultures.

Peer Support Worker

I have been working as a Peer in the Community Mental Health Team for just over a year.  My first experience working as a Peer was with Cambridge and Peterborough Foundation Trust in 2010; this was where I did my training and where I worked on an acute psychiatric ward where I first discovered the impact of Peer Support and lived experience.

I am interested in research into Mental Health which I developed during my time as both an undergraduate in Cambridge and as a postgraduate in Belfast.   I am keen to use this interest in research and the skills I have developed in the Recovery Hub.
